Mission Statement

As First Nation people, our goal is to help build a strong foundation and keep families together. The concepts, principles, and traditional values we practice are the strengths needed to encourage and ensure healthy families. This, in turn, will be the foundation of a strong and healthy community. The overall goal of the Oshkeemekana Pimogeekawin program is to keep children within their families.

This goal challenges us to:

Cherish the values and principles of our traditions.

Draw strength from the families we serve.

Develop and identify human resources at the community level to deal with child welfare and family issues within the community.
